Thermopolis wrestling club members compete at Casper Showdown

The Thermopolis Wrestling Club competed this past weekend at the Casper Showdown in Memory of Sarah Tolin.

In PeeWee 35-38, Aksel Polson placed fourth and scored seven team points.

In PeeWee 41-42, Lucas Seidel placed fourth and scored four team points.

In PeeWee 43-46, Tucker Sayler placed first and scored seven team points. Sayler won by a 10-4 decision over Helton Spilski of Wright Gladiators in the Quarterfinal, by a 13-0 decision over Greyson Mendez of Rawlins Wrestling Club in the Semifinal and by a 16-0 tech fall over Amari Leal of Camel Kids Wrestling in the first place match.

In PeeWee 45-46, Archer Price placed first and scored eight team points. Price won by a 14-8 decision over Jedi Thomas of Natrona Colts in the Quarterfinal, by a 19-8 major decision over Samuel Franks od Riverton USA Wrestling in the Semifinal and by a 13-4 major decision over Carter Holman of Glenrock Wrestling Club in the first place match.

In PeeWee 53-60, Ben Farrell placed first and scored 10 team points. Farrell won by a 39-second fall over Moorcroft Mat Masters in Round 1, by a 17-1 tech fall over Blake Olson of Touch of Gold Wrestling in Round 3, by a 1:38 fall over Austin Spicer of Shoshoni Shooters USA Wrestling in Round 4 and by a 21-6 tech fall over Baylor Geer of Douglas Wrestling Club in Round 5.

In Bantam 47-52, Ryker Sayler scored one team point.

In Intermediate 79-95, Cannon Boren placed first and scored six team points. Boren won by a 32-second fall over Breven Jenkins of Hudson Outlaws Wrestling Club in Championship Round 1, by a 32-second fall over Tuff Weber of LSRV Mat Rats in the Quarterfinal, by a 7-1 decision over Joel Williams of Glenrock Wrestling Club in the Semifinal and by a 1-0 decision over Deacon Webb of Sheridan Young Guns in the first place match.

In Novice 54-61, Lilly Qunintanilla placed second and scored six team points.

In Novice 62-71, Caden Dodd scored one team point.

In Novice 82-88, Colter Price placed sixth and scored one team point.

In Schoolboy/girl 130-141, Roedy Farrell placed first and scored seven team points. Farrell won by a 3:04 fall over Noah Sides of Natrona Colts in Championship Round 1, by a 1:40 fall over Lucious Larsen of Hudson Outlaws Wrestling Club in the Quarterfinal, by a 41-second fall over Casey Middleton of Windy City Wrestlers in the Semifinal and by a 12-2 major decision over Terran Grooms of Sheridan Young Guns in the first place match.

In Girls Intermediate 56-64, Logann Farrell placed first and scored 10 team points, and Jesalyn Blair placed third and scored four team points. Farrell won by a 23-second fall over Audrey Speiser of Eastside United Wrestling in Round 1, by a 26-second fall over Stevie French of Cody Wrestling Club in Round 3, by a 32-second fall over Blair in Round 4 and by a 16-0 tech fall over Autumn Guseman of Windy City Wrestlers in Round 5.

Additionally, Farrell was voted the outstanding female wrestler of the tournament.

In Girls Novice 50-56, Lilly Quintanilla placed first and scored six team points. Quintanilla won by a 1:16 fall over Taylor Freeman of Hudson Outlaws Wrestling Club in Round 1 and by a 2:30 fall over Freeman in Round 2.

In Girls Schoolgirl 141-142, Kailey Allen placed second and scored five team points.
