Phyllis Mary Capen, 72, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center after a period of declining health.
Born August 26, 1946, in Boston, Mass., she was an only child of Donald and Catherine (LaFrenie) Martin. In 1963 she married Edmund “Ed” A. Capen in Boston. The couple and family resided in Massachusetts until moving to Thermopolis in 1971.
Phyllis was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, housework, traveling and her grandchild, Alexis Palmieri.
She is survived by her husband, Ed, of 57 years of Thermopolis; children, Edmund (Maggie) Capen of Glendale, Ariz., Julie (Wayne) Criner of Ajijic, Mexico, and Crystal (Tom) Palmieri of Gilbert, Ariz .; and one grandchild.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services were held February 25, 2019, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Worland, Wyo. Bill Wells officiated.
