Chamber board votes for annual awards

At their Feb. 7 meeting, the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce voted for the Business, Citizen and Non-Profit Organization of the Year. The winners will be announced at the annual Chamber Banquet on March 23.

This year marks the 100th anniversary for the chamber, with that milestone incorporated into the banquet as well as other activities throughout the year.

The speaker for the banquet is Craig Johnson.

Also during the meeting, there was discussion about changing the format of the regular Chamber Meet and Greet events, in order to get more people to attend.

The Economic Development Company will be hosting the Chamber Meet and Greet this month on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at One Eyed Buffalo, with a theme of “Salute to Small Business.”

Entrepreneurs are invited to join the event for networking, drawings, food, drink and fun.
