Fireman's Ball Saturday

The 2019 Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department’s Fireman’s Ball is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16 at the VFW Club from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

This year Jerry Ward of Corpus Christi, Texas will return to provide the musical entertainment for the evening.

The tickets are the key to an evening of dancing, spirits and gift certificates with values from $50 to $300.

An invitation and tickets were sent out a month ago to area residents. Those who wish to attend should fill out and return ticket stubs with their donation to the fire hall, in the envelope provided with the invitation. Though it’s best to return the ticket stubs before the start of the dance, tickets will be accepted at the door up until the drawing. The drawing for first through fifth place will be the night of the dance, and winners do not have to be present to win.

This annual drive is dedicated to the replacement, repair and purchase of new equipment.

This is also a landmark year for the department, with its centennial celebration planned for this summer on Saturday, Aug. 3. The festivities will include a variety of games and activities, as well as a free pulled pork lunch.
