Bands receive high ratings

On Feb. 4th the High School Jazz Band, also known as The Jazz Cat Big Band performed at the Kinser Jazz Festival at Casper College. The band had two clinics after their performance with Dr. Scott Turpen from the University of Wyoming and Dr. Lynn Baker from the Lamont School of Music at Denver University. The band received both Superior and Excellent ratings for their performance.

On Feb. 9 20 Middle School students performed in the Showalter Festival at Northwest College in Powell. They received 11 Superior and 5 Excellent Ratings (adding student names this afternoon).

The Jazz Cat Big Band and high school Jazz Choir will travel on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to Powell, to perform at the NWC Jazz Festival, and the middle school band will perform their spring showcase on March 14 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
