Orvile Norman Tuzicka, Jr., 66, of Versailles, Mo., formerly of Thermopolis, Wyo., passed away unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 18. 2019, while he was at work.
He was born October 7, 1952, in Sterling, Colo., a son of Orvile N. Tuzicka, Sr. and Theora May "Teddy" Pierce Tuzicka. On October 5, 1974, in Kimbell, Neb., Orvile, who preferred to be called Jr., was united in marriage to Lora J. Westby.
At the time of his death, Jr. was employed with Cargill Turkey Farm, working at the barns in Fortuna, Mo. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. Jr. looked forward to traveling and spending time with his family and was a known storyteller, telling the same stories while enjoying his favorite beer.
He is survived by his wife, Lora, of 44 years; daughters, Linda (Kevin) Kolar of Osburn, Idaho, and Angel (Brandon) Newell of Jacksonville, Fla.; siblings, Dennis (Phyllis) Tuzicka of Sidney, Neb., Janice McCarty of Rifle, Colo., Tim (Rosie) Tuzicka of Orlando, Fla., and Kevin Tuzicka of Thermopolis; grandchildren, Tiffani (Kory) Loos, Trevor Kolar and Aly Lamphere; great-grandchildren, Rodney and Khloe; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie Tuzicka; and grandson, Nathan Kolar.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of Jr.'s life was held January 20, at the Tuzicka home. He wanted everyone to have a beer to celebrate his life.
