Young team tops Meeteetse JV

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, the “froshmore” boys basketball team traveled to Meeteetse to take on their JV squad and come home with a 61-32 victory.

Coach Dean Despain stated, “We continue to grow as a team and are figuring out how to really finish games. We started the game with great intensity and focus and jumped out to an early 10 point lead which we maintained for most of the game, we got lots of quality minutes from the bench and a lot of different kids got to see the floor for extended periods of time, which is crucial to our growth as individual ball players as well as for the program, overall.

“Our intense man-to-man defense is still our hallmark, creating turnovers and points in transition. The effort I see from this group of young men in every game is always great, and as a coach, I can’t hardly ask for more than great effort.”
