It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Dec. 21
6:50 a.m. Welfare check on a subject on Black Mountain Road. The subject was assisted and provided resources.
8:17 a.m. Report of an injured deer on the highway. The animal was dispatched.
7:36 p.m. A juvenile subject was cited for possession of marijuana, minor in possession of tobacco, interference with a peace officer and under the influence of a controlled substance.
11:49 p.m. Shantel Hessenthaler and Tanner L. Boss were arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

1:25 a.m. A juvenile subject was cited for minor in possession.
6:03 p.m. Andrew B. Meador was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Monday, Dec. 24
4:28 p.m. Report of dogs at large. The animals returned to their owner.
Wednesday, Dec. 26
6:42 p.m. Byron S. Huffstetler was arrested on a warrant.
8:44 p.m. Two subjects were cited for possession of a controlled substance.
10:30 p.m. Single vehicle rollover on Highway 20 South.

7:24 p.m. Kimberly D. Sams and Kenneth R. Rogers were arrested for alleged sexual assault.

7:47 a.m. Report of a dog at large. The animal was impounded.
1:46 p.m. Report of a scam, in which a subject sold an item at an extremely inflated price.
3:40 p.m. Complaint of two dogs being walked off leash and defecating on lawns. The dogs and their owner could not be located.
Saturday, Dec. 22
7:41 a.m. Report of dogs chasing vehicles. The animals could not be located.
9:22 a.m. Report of a dog at large. The animal was impounded.
4:54 p.m. A subject was trespassed from a business for attempting to contact an employee.
8:57 p.m. REDDI report, though the suspect vehicle could not be located.

12:27 a.m. Following a traffic stop, Madilyn P. Larsen was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Tuesday, Dec. 25
7:07 p.m. Report of a single vehicle accident on the Broadway bridge. There were no injuries.
Thursday, Dec. 27
11:46 a.m. Complainant reported suspicious unknown shoe prints in the backyard.
7:30 p.m. REDDI report, though the driver was contacted and found to not be intoxicated.
10 p.m. Officer responded to a report of assault. The matter is under investigation.

Karolina Alexandra Navarro was born Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Esmeralda and Carlos Navarro.
She weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 18 1/8 inches long.

Shyam Nepali was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to one year in jail with 360 days suspension and one year supervised probation. Fees and fines are $255.
Lailah Guffey was found guilty of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 days suspension and nine months supervised probation. Fees and fines are $510.
Boone Myers was found guilty of domestic battery and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 87 days suspension and six months supervised probation. Fees and fines are $205.
Daniel Treto was found guilty of driving under the influence and was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 18 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $455.
Ellie M. Quinday was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 158 days suspension and one year supervised probation. Fees and fines are $255.
Jacob McCreery was bound over to District Court on a charge of applying pressure to the throat or neck.
Alan J. Keeler was found guilty of interfering with a peace officer. Fees and fines are $380.
James D. Wilcox was found guilty of theft under $1,000 and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $205.
Quinton Shorter was found guilty of driving under suspension and no insurance. Fees and fines are $1,055.
Randall S. Edgeington was cited for hunting, trapping, fishing or collecting antlers on private land. Fees and fines are $435.
Jade D. Cole was found guilty of third-offense driving under the influence and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 173 days suspension and one year unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $755.
Kristen A. Washakie was found guilty of driving under the influence and providing alcohol to a minor, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days suspension and six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $660.
Brendan R. Garcia was found guilty of minor in possession, open container, multiple beam lamps no registration and improper display of tabs, and was sentenced to one day in jail. Fees and fines are $465.
