Register for wrestling club

The Thermopolis Wrestling Club is getting geared up for its 2019 season, and as of last Friday there are about 30 kids registered. Thrisha Myers stated she expects to see the number of kids closer to 45 by the beginning of the season and registrations are still open.

Kids must turn four or be older in 2019 to be able to wrestle, and the club is open to both boys and girls. A parent night will by Jan. 8 at 6 p.m., at the middle school.

Practices will be 6-7:30 p.m. in the middle school wrestling room for all kids Mondays and Thursdays; kids 10 and older will also practice Tuesday.

The first tournament for the club is Jan. 13, and Thermopolis will host a tournament on March 16. The season ends in April with the state tournament.
