It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

3:18 p.m. Deputy assisted members of the Department of Family Services with a urine analysis.

8:55 p.m. Deputy stopped to check on a motorist parked on the side of the road and found he was OK.

10:11 p.m. Assist with Wyoming Highway Patrol regarding a driver who was having a parking problem.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

1:02 p.m. Complainant wanted to report a fraud incident.

Thursday, Dec. 20

1:02 p.m. Deputy assisted Probation and Parole with a residence check.

1:54 p.m. Department of Family Services reported an issue with a citizen. The deputy checked it out and everything was fine.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

6:31 a.m. Report of an accident between two semis. There were no injuries and minimal damage, and both vehicles were driven away.

12:23 p.m. Amy J. Kvia was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

8:34 p.m. Reported theft from a motel room.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

12:11 p.m. Report of a dog at large. The animal was impounded and the owner contacted.

4:25 p.m. Subject provided information on how to obtain a protection order.

5:59 p.m. Colten T. Lane was arrested for alleged domestic assault.

11:44 p.m. Initially reported as stolen, a lost wallet was recovered.

Thursday, Dec. 20

3:31 p.m. Complainant reported a subject who did not live at a residence was playing music loudly.

7:04 p.m. Report of a barking dog, which was unfounded.

Friday, Dec. 21

1:15 a.m. Jacob W. Blair was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

Birth

Molly Hatchet Rich was born Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Lori and Coulson Rich.

She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.

Grandparents are Carl and Carol Lindgren and Butch and Tina Rich.

Kyle Larson and Trisha Juhala, both of Thermopolis.
