Pennoyer honored by weed and pest

Hot Springs County rancher, Arnold Pennoyer has had a well deserved year of recognition, his latest coming with the Archie Lauer Award, presented to him at the Wyoming Weed and Pest Conference in Casper.

First, Pennoyer received his 35-year service pin, having been appointed to the Hot Springs County Weed and Pest board in 1983.

At the Saturday night banquet, Pennoyer was then presented with the Archie Lauer Award.

Initiated by the Wyoming Weed and Pest Council in honor of Archie Lauer, a Weed and Pest Supervisor for Niobrara County from 1977 – 2002, the award is given to an outstanding individual who has been on the Wyoming Weed and Pest Board and has made a significant contribution to the board and its success.

Pennoyer is the first Hot Springs County Weed and Pest Board member to receive the award which was started in 2004.
