Thermopolis Middle School girls basketball kicks of tonight (Thursday) at 3:30 p.m. at the middle school gym.
This will be our first look at this year’s team, and head coach Ginger Ward said she is blessed with a fabulous group of young ladies, nearly 28 players and three managers.
Ward said the focus and intensity the athletes are showing at practice reeally compliments their parents.
“Attendance has been excellent,” Ward said. “A couple girls have been nursing the flu bug, so we look forward to getting these girls back this week.”
They will play four games tonight, with both A and B teams taking the court against Lander.
“We would love to see the home crowd come out and support us,” Ward said. “Both A teams will be running the floor and being disruptive on defense. The B team will probably see a slower pace.
“We want all these young ladies to attack the rim hard, pass it to the lane to get paint scores, and hit the rebounds hard.”
