Teams move forward in adult volleyball league action

October 17 saw the first round of playoffs for the Hot Springs County Rec District’s Adult Coed Volleyball League, with big advances from Benny and the Sets after they beat out How I Set your Mother two games to one. Scores for the matchup were 25-23 Benny, 25-21 How I Set and 25-23 Benny.

Benny had the same 2-1 success against Gottsche later in the evening, with scores of 25-23 Benny, 25-12 Gottsche and 25-27 Benny.

In other matchups, TBD is moving forward with 25-14 and 25-23 wins against Setting Ducks, and Owl Creek advances with 25-12 and 25-17 wins Here 4 Exercise.

Games scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the second week of playoffs, include TBD taking on Owl Creek, with the winner advancing to take on Benny on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and the loser facing How I Set later in the evening of Oct. 24.

Setting Ducks will go up against Here 4 Exercise, with the winner taking on Gottsche later that evening and the loser eliminated from competition.

There will be no playoff competition on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Week 3 of playoffs will be Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 marks the championship. Current standings are: Gassed by Gottsche 15-3; Owl Creek14-4; TBD 12-6; Benny 8-10; How I Set 6-12; Setting Ducks 6-12; and Here 4 Exercise 2-16.
