Janice E. Giffin

Janice E Giffin passed away on February 15, 2018, peacefully at her home.

She started life as the 1947 New Year's baby in Columbus, Ohio, the second daughter of Kathleen B Ham Drake and Willard E. Drake. She grew up on Fairfield Beach, Ohio. In 1965, Jan graduated from Walnut Township High School where she met and married Danny J. Giffin on January 7, 1966. She had two children Melissa E. Giffin Balstad and Danny J Giffin II. They both brought Jan much joy and happiness. Her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren were the light of her life.

Janice was the most loving and caring person that has walked on this earth. Jan was a respiratory therapist for forty years working in Columbus, Ohio, Gillette, Jackson Hole and Thermopolis, Grand Rapids, Mich., and retired in Reno, Nev. Jan would tell you that she was just doing her job but all the lives she touched with her caring ways would tell a different story.

Jan is survived by her husband, Danny J Giffin; daughter, Melissa E. Giffin Balstad; son, Danny J Giffin II; granddaughters, Alyssa (KC) Lahoe, Karissa Balstad, Mary and Ella Giffin; grandson, Dylan Balstad; great-granddaughters, Waikeli, Briar Lahoe and Audrey Balstad; great-grandsons, Bain and Halen Lahoe; and sisters, Jackie Denune and Donna (Jerry) Kincaid.
