Octobrewfest set for October 6

The 5th Annual Octobrewfest is on its way, next Saturday, October 6 in downtown Thermopolis.

This year looks to be better than ever with things kicking off at 11 a.m. with more than 10 microbrews coming for you to try.

Buy a mug for $25 and you’ll be able to sample brews from not only our local One Eyed Buffalo but Cowboy Brewing, Co., Black Tooth Brewery (Sheridan), Lander Brewing, Melvin Brewing (Alpine), Snake River Brewing (Jackson), WYold West, Wind River Brewing (Pinedale), TenSleep Brewing, Grand Teton (Jackson) and Road House (Jackson).

Cowboy Brewing will be available for sale, however, other than One Eyed Buffalo, the others will not.

Shorty’s Liquor will also be on site with a full bar. Tickets will need to be purchased to get drinks from their bar.

Even if you aren’t into beer, you can still quench your thirst downtown as the high school speech team will have various sodas, water and coffee available for purchase.

Octobrewfest is really a family event with lots of music, historic building tours, food and lots of merchandise for sale from various booths. Event t-shirts will be for sale as well.

Get you and a partner signed up for the Corn Hole Tournament, too.

Main Street Thermopolis will debut a new product during the event – notecards with drawings of the downtown buildings, perfect for thank you notes or just keeping up with friends.

Volunteers are always welcome for the event. You can stop in to the Chamber to volunteer and if you’re interested in helping out with Main Street Thermopolis, you can see them at their booth and find out what they’re all about.

If you happen to have one too many, the Main Street volunteers will be available to give you a ride home within the town limits.

Proceeds from Octobrewfest go to help with the event expenses, but also for downtown preservation projects and entertainment opportunities through Main Street Thermopolis.

Octobrewfest will go on, rain or shine, until 7 p.m.
