Williamson takes over Farmer's Insurance

If you happen to stop in at Farmer's Insurance, you're going to see a new face as they have a new owner agent, Robb Williamson.

Williamson comes to Thermopolis from Lander where he has been with the company for three years.

Although his wife and high school aged children are still in Lander, Williamson said he is not commuting, he is here full time. Both he and his wife are Wyoming natives, she, coming from Worland and he, originally from Casper.

"This is a totally new Farmer's," Williamson said. "Its a new ownership. A new philosophy. I intend to be part of the community and want to give back to the town."

Williamson sees this move as a good opportunity to bring service here as high as anywhere else.

"I will always be here for my customers," he said. "Actually, there will be someone here in the office all the time."

His office hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. to give folks who may not get off work until 5 p.m. time to stop in.

Williamson said they are planning an open house for the business on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 224 Springview.

"Everyone is welcome to come," he said, "even if you aren't a client. I'd like to meet everyone."
