Drug cases bound over

Two cases involving large quantities of methamphetamine have been bound over to Hot Springs District Court.

Tyler Kihlstrom is charged with felony charges of unlawful possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver and conspiracy to deliver meth, and misdemeanors of unlawful possession of marijuana and use or under the influence of a controlled substance.

The charges are from an Aug. 1 incident, during which Kihlstrom’s vehicle was stopped due to his not appearing at a scheduled probation hearing.

Utilizing information provided, officers at the scene located substances that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as other paraphernalia associated with the use and sale of controlled substances.

In a related incident, Tiphanie Reynolds is charged with three felony counts of endangering children — exposure to meth — felony unlawful possession of meth and conspiracy to deliver meth, and misdemeanors of unlawful possession of meth and use or under the influence of a controlled substance.

Following Kihlstrom’s arrest, officers were requested by a probation officer to perform a search on Reynolds’ residence as she had failed to provide a urine sample and stormed out at an appointment. Controlled substances and paraphernalia were found in Reynolds’ vehicle and residence, including baggies that matched those located in Kihlstrom’s vehicle.
