Summer Trek

The Hot Springs County Historical Society and Hot Springs County Pioneer Association recently released the itinerary for the 2018 Summer Trek.

The trek is for members of the HSC Pioneer Association and HSC Historical Society, and is planned for 8 a.m. Aug. 25. Those attending will meet at the Hot Springs County Museum prior to the leave time.

This year’s trek will include an all-day trip to Birdseye Ranch, Birdseye Stage Station, Birdseye Pass, De Pass, De Pass Ranch (Stage Stop), De Pass town site and mine site, Jim Bridger Pass & Trail, and there will be searching for the phantom town site of Holt.

The trek is for four-wheel drive vehicles only, and ATVs are recommended. Attendees should also bring a picnic lunch, plenty to drink, bug spray, sun screen and a camera.
