On the Record policy

It is the Thermopolis Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, July 24

10:26 a.m. REDDI report, though the suspect vehicle was located and no infractions were observed.

Friday, July 27

11:11 a.m. A trespass notice was served.

9:51 p.m. Complainant reported a suspicious male subject getting in a vehicle. The subject was not located.

Saturday, July 28

8:58 a.m. Report of vandalism at a residence.

10:12 a.m. Caller reported his English Setter had been missing for a few days, and wanted to know if there was any information on the dog.

6:31 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle with its door open. It was determined the door had been open for months and was broken.

Tuesday, July 24

11:11 p.m. Call regarding intoxicated subjects in a vehicle. There was a designated driver who showed a .000 blood-alcohol content when tested.

Wednesday, July 25

1:55 a.m. Report of a male subject who appeared intoxicated getting into a vehicle. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

3:39 a.m. An intoxicated subject entered a business, but later became angry, cursed and left. The suspect could not be located.

9:21 a.m. Caller wanted advice regarding a child.

12:19 p.m. Complainant reported signs on personal property were vandalized. An individual was contacted and admitted to the vandalism.

2:05 p.m. Officer responded to an argument between neighbors about dogs being harassed. The matter was discussed and options were presented.

10:33 p.m. Officer responded to a domestic dispute involving violence. Mark Danis was arrested for alleged domestic assault.

Friday, July 27

11:15 a.m. Complainant believed his ID was stolen, and provided various references.

Saturday, July 28

10:18 a.m. Report of someone putting liquid in a mailbox and ruining mail items.

12:45 p.m. Caller reported accidentally locking a child and a dog in a vehicle. The matter was resolved.

4:33 p.m. A subject was stopped for a traffic violation. It was discovered he was in possession of marijuana and he was cited.

8:47 p.m. Report of political sign being removed from a fence and thrown away.

11:04 p.m. Verbal argument between two subjects, during which one subject said he was assaulted by another. The matter is under investigation.

Sunday, July 29

10:47 a.m. Shane L. Boren was arrested for alleged driving under the influence and was cited for interference with an officer, driving under suspension and breach of peace.

Monday, July 30

9:53 a.m. Report of vandalism at the post office.

Tuesday, July 31

12:52 a.m. Patrick D. Little was arrested for alleged public intoxication.

Cade Arthur O’Donnell was born Monday, July 16, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Ashley and Kyle O’Donnell.

He weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 23 inches long.

Kyetona Lokua Garcia was born Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Samantha Haun and Nicolaus Garcia.

He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

Grandparents are Tom & Connie Haun, Ruben Garcia and Marty & Geni Friend

Simeon Jak Wille was born Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Delina and Michael Wille.

He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
