Brandon Schulte weds Lori Ramirez

Brandon Michael Schulte and Lori Annette Ramirez were married on April 28, 2018, in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony by Father Leon Strieder at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.  

The bride's attendants were her sisters Stephanie Ramirez of Houston, maid of honor, and Amy Ramirez of Austin, Texas, bridesmaid. The groom's attendants were longtime friends and fellow Hot Springs County High School alumni Jay Peterman of Au Train, Mich., best man, and Kyle Lash of Jackson, Wyo., groomsman. 

The bride's brother Weston Ramirez of Pearland, Texas, was ring bearer. The groom's nieces Jade Schulte and Willa Beyeler were flower girls. They are the daughters of Andrew and Amanda (Schulte) Beyeler of Casper, Wyo. Ushers were the groom's brother Jorden Schulte of Laramie, Wyo., and cousin Matt Schulte, Kansas City, Mo. 

Priscilla Ringo, cousin of the bride, and Colleen Schulte, the groom's aunt and godmother, read scripture. The bride's aunt Doris Mendiola lead prayer. 

Honored in loving memory were the bride's grandfathers Enrique "Henry" Mendiola Sr., Andrew Ramirez Sr. and Edward Ramirez and the groom's grandfather Lawrence Schulte.

Cocktails with a mariachi band, dinner reception and dance were at the historical Hotel Icon in downtown Houston. 

Sentimental touches were integrated into the ceremony and reception: Willa wore a light pink, knee-length dress Brandon's mother Rhonda wore as a flower girl in the mid-1960s. It was sewn by the groom's maternal grandmother Cleone. The missal with wedding rings Weston carried was the missal from her Lori's grandmother Benilde from her late grandfather Henry. The bride's cathedral-length veil was borrowed from a cousin. The three-tier cake and wedding favors were made by Lori's friend and the cake knives were from Brandon's parents' wedding in 1982.  

Lori is the daughter of Brenda Ramirez of Pearland, Texas, and Howard Ramirez, also of Pearland. Her grandparents are Benilde Valadez and Esther Ramirez.

She graduated from Pearland High School in 2004, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008.

Brandon is the son of Ray and Rhonda Schulte of Cody, Wyo. His grandparents are Cleone Uecker, Cleo Schulte and Shelton Schuh. 

A 2006 Hot Springs County, Thermopolis, Wyo., graduate, Brandon studied mechanical engineering at the University of Wyoming, earning a bachelor's degree in 2010 and a master's degree in 2012. 

Following a honeymoon to the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple and their son Jonah are at home in Houston where Lori is a critical care nurse at Texas Children's Hospital and Brandon is a project manager and engineer for WSP Energy Services.
