Time to hit the sand

It’s getting time to put away the bats and mitts, as the Hot Springs County Recreation District’s Adult Co-Ed Softball League is coming to a close in the next few weeks. But make sure you’re practicing those bumps, sets, digs and spikes and are ready to get your toes in the sand for Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball program.

Season dates are July 19-Aug. 23, though there is a managers meeting July 11 at 7 p.m. at the armory. Teams can have up to six people, with four playing on the court at a time. The fee per team for the program is $80, which also helps cover costs of shirts. Games will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday nights at Hot Springs State Park.

Team packets and rosters are available and can be picked up at the Recreation Office, located in the armory.
