Barbara Campbell, left, and Barbara Webber were among the many volunteers helping out at the T-town Cancer Crusaders fundraiser Saturday. All proceeds from the event will be given to local cancer patients who need financial assistance. The Crusaders received an extra boost this year when the Thermopolis PRCA Rodeo committee selected them to receive the proceeds of a purse auctioned off during the rodeo. Harley Rhodes, owner of Dancing Cactus Designs, donated the hand-crafted cowhide purse which after a lengthy bidding war with PRCA bull rider Sage Kimsey, was bought Friday night by Steve Jellis for $2,000. Jellis donated the purse back to be auctioned again on Friday when it was purchased by Wyoming Fleet Auto for $1,000.
