Gallery opening at museum

The Hot Springs County Museum will host the “Nick Eggenhofer” gallery opening this Saturday at 2 p.m. The gallery will feature original pieces of western art from Eggenhofer, from dry brush “pulp magazine” illustrations to full color detailed depictions of western life.

The display will be on the north end of the museum, near the Hole in the Wall Bar and entrance to the downstairs area. The area has been expanded and enhanced with some new Eggenhofer items.

Also during the program, tales and stories will be shared by George and Evelyn Herman, Eggenhofer’s daughter and son-in-law. A reception will follow the presentation.
