Last Saturday marked the 44th Annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl at Cheney Memorial Field in Casper, and Thermopolis Bobcat Noah Schwalbe was part of the winning North team, coming out on top of the South team, 13-7.
Unfortunately, Schwalbe broke his hand during Thursday’s practice and had to have immediate surgery, precluding him from being able to participate with his team.
After a week of practices in Casper, along with some special activities, the teams hit the field in front of a full stadium.
In the first quarter of play, Josh Dawson of Star Valley completed an eight yard run to make the score 7-0, South.
Neither team scored during the second quarter, but Aaron Sessions from Sheridan tied things up after an 83-yard interception return in the third.
The North sealed the deal with a one yard run from Riley Hill of Greybull to finish the game, 13-7.
Hill was named offensive player of the game and Sessions, defensive player of the game.
