Time is getting close for the 29th Annual Big Horn Basin Football Camp in Thermopolis on June 18-20.
Several college coaches will be on hand to teach the players some new techniques specific to their positions as well as give them the opportunity to become better over-all players.
“They’ll be learning all kinds of individual techniques,” camp director Heath Hayes said. “Our camp gives them the opportunity to be seen, one-on-one, by college coaches and make those connections.”
Hayes said they already have players coming from Buffalo, Jackson, Wheatland, Lusk, Rock Springs, Riverton, Worland and Basin, but they really have no limit on the number of players they can take.
Along with the individual training, the players will also have 7 on 7 competitions to try out the new things they’ve learned.
Hayes also said they are getting new coaches coming all the time, but as of now, John Reiners from Black Hills State will be on hand along with the Black Hills State defensive line coach, Jay Smith.
Former coach at the University of Wyoming and current coach for the Colorado School of Mines, Nick Fulton will be on hand along with Quinn Brown, coach at William Jewel in Kansas City.
Corey Sudhoff and Jeremy Clark will be working with the defensive lines and defensive back.
Along with the college coaches will be high school coaches from across Wyoming and Colorado.
Registration will be held in the high school commons from 9 – 11 a.m. on June 18, or can be done online at https://bighorn.powermediallc.org.
Costs are $70 per player for grades 4 – 12 and $35 for the ‘Little Drillers’, ages kindergarten through third grade.
