McDermott takes firsts at MS Best of the Best

Wyatt McDermott won the seventh grade boys 1600 meter run during the Best of the Best meet at Lander last Tuesday, finishing with a time of 5:07.06. He was nearly 10 seconds faster than second place finisher Evan Owen of Cody Middle School at 5:16.93.

McDermott also placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:12.25, and two other Bobcats joined him in the top 10 — Landen Sosa placed fourth with 2:20.81 and Matt Music placed seventh with 2:22.71. The 4x400 meter relay team of McDermott, Sosa, Tristin Brown and Ayden Cox placed third with a time of 4:12.93.
