Taking charge of diabetes

Life with diabetes can be difficult, and the disease can lead to major health problems if it is left unmanaged.

The Hot Springs County Senior Center will be home to a Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP) through June and July, with classes providing tips on how to improve quality of life, prevent serious complications and illness, improve eating habits, increase physical activity, develop self-care skills, improve relationships with health care providers and utilize community resources.
