HSCHS graduation set for May 20

Its hard to believe, but we are coming up on graduation and all its respective activities for the Class of 2018.

Four Hot Springs County High School students receive top honors of Valedictorian this year, Stormy Cox, Daniel Leonhardt, Haley McDermott and Mary Ryan. This year’s Salutatorian is Shianne Yarrington.

The class of 2018 chose a quote from Lemony Snickett as their Class Motto, “If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives.”

Rascal Flatts’ song, “My Wish” is the class song, their flower is the carnation, and their class color this year is gray.

Baccalaureate will be held on Monday, May 14 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Tuesday, May 15 marks the senior scholarship night which will also be held in the auditorium, starting at 6 p.m.

Graduation this year will be on Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. in the high school gym.
