Don't miss the spring production

I’m going to give you a little tip.

Go see the high school Drama Club’s spring production, “The Villian Wore a Dirty Shirt” tonight or Friday night.

Director Mary McGillivray has once again taken our super talented kids and created an evening that will have you laughing, groaning (at the awful puns), hissing the bad guys and cheering on the hero.

Poor sheriff Jack B. Nimble (Tyler Kay) just can’t talk to girls even though he’s in love with Sweet Sally (Shianne Yarrington) and instead makes this sound that’s a cross between a cow mooing and a cat hacking up a hairball.

Olympia Klenz (Katie Burrows), the laundry lady, has an incredible death scene that will have you laughing for sure.

The slimy villian, Phineas Flatworm (Kyle Mosser) of course gets what’s coming to him even though he apparently thinks twirling his handlebar moustache makes him ‘charming’ to the ladies.

I’m always amazed at what these kids can do in just a matter of weeks. They’ve done all the costuming and set design themselves, along with memorizing all their lines, and have fun while they’re at it.

You really don’t want to miss this evening of silliness. You’ll find it in the auditorium at 7 p.m.
