Two HSCHS graduates promoted at WYDOT

Two Thermopolis graduates have done well in their careers, moving up the ladder to foreman with the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Chad Shaffer, a HSCHS graduate from 1992, was recently named as the WYDOT maintainance foreman in Shoshoni.

Shaffer began with WYDOT in 2016.

Scott Thomas, a graduate from 1987, was named the WYDOT maintainance foreman in Basin in December.

Thomas started with WYDOT in 2011 as a striping and equipment operator before moving up to the North District 5 paving foreman then heavy equipment operator in Basin.

A Deaver/Frannie High School graduate, Daren Wagner of Powell, has been named as WDOT’s new district equipment supervisor in Basin. He will surpervise district equipment and mechanics shops in Thermopolis, Lander, Basin and Cody.
