One of my favorite days of the year

So here we are, one of my favorite days of the year – the day after Valentine’s Day.

Yes, if you know me, I’m very much a salty, spicy, chips eating kind of girl, but I must confess, I am sometimes a closet chocolate eater.

Hence, today is one of the best as everything Valentine’s related has gone into the discount bin and just before closing you may find me at the store sifting through the leftover goodies that other girls in town did not get from their special someone.

Milk chocolate is, of course, my favorite, but there are certain brands of dark chocolate that I find palatable – Dove.

I will toss those crispy bars aside in favor of nuts. After all, who’s brilliant idea was it to put rice in chocolate? Madman.

Have you tried the Hershey’s Gold? To die for. I could hide in my room and eat three or four of those with no regrets. Pretzels, nuts and creamy chocolate is the stuff dreams are made of.

There is a technique to thoroughly enjoying your chocolate, too. You don’t just take a bite and chew, you must let it melt in your mouth to get the total experience. Oh, and close your eyes, too.

I do look out of the corner of my eye as I’m rummaging through the chocolate as I’m easily distracted.
