Rocky Joe Quarles, 69, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017.
He was born in Wyoming and spent his days learning to fish, terrorizing his brother and growing up to be an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He went to college where he stood his ground and didn't turn in a final assignment for his Master's because he was protesting. Rocky took time to share with the world his opinions, feelings and most importantly his social consciousness. He loved fly-fishing, laughing and talking with strangers. Rocky spent several summers on the stage of Dirty Jacks sharing his passion for theatre and jokes with the tourists who came to visit every year. He will always be remembered for the compassion he showed to others, his smile and his love for his family. Rocky never missed an opportunity to teach a lesson to the younger generation with unique techniques and intention. He had a huge heart and when you were around him, he made you feel as if you were the most important person. Rocky was an amazing human being who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Quarles; five children; eight grandchildren; brother; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.
