Clay Little, 57, was taken home by the Lord on November 23, 2017, at his home in Thermopolis surrounded by his wife and children following a two and half year battle with melanoma.
He was born in Green Bay, Wis. to Curtis and Marlys Little. While attending Thermopolis High School, he began working as a taxidermist with Dan Herring, continuing there for 14 years and developing his love of taxidermy.
He met his wife Susan (Anderson) Little in Thermopolis and they were married in 1994 at the First Baptist Church.
Clay was an avid hunter and fisherman and always felt at peace in the mountains. Some of his favorite hobbies were attending rendezvous, wild west re-creations and his love of classic firearms. He spent many summers camping with his family or hunting with his children.
Though cancer beat his body, Clay’s spirit grew ever stronger through the word of Christ and in the end, he knew the joys of the Lord far outweighed his suffering on earth and he trusted in that joy until his final breath.
He is leaves behind by his wife of 26 years, Susan; son, Jared; daughter, Hayden; brother, Tracey Little; sister, Jody Frances; and nephews, Cody Little, Nate Little and Sean Frances.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at Risen Son Southern Baptist Church.
