GOP Central Committee comes to Thermopolis

The Wyoming Republican Party’s State Central Committee will meet this Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18, at the Days Inn in Thermopolis. The business session will be Saturday, starting at 8 a.m., in the Days Inn’s meeting rooms. The Central Committee will discuss plans for the 2018 campaign season. Meetings are open to the public.

Also up for discussion is the GOP’s state convention, to be held in Laramie on April 20. The convention theme is Women of Wyoming.

Friday night, the Hot Springs County Republican Party will host a meet and greet, and the public is invited. This is an opportunity to interact informally with elected officials and local and state party officials. The organizers expect Wyoming Senator Wyatt Agar to attend.

State Representative Nathan Winters is on the Interim Judiciary Committee, which will meet in Wheatland that day, so he will not make the meet and greet. He will, however, be at the Central Committee meeting Saturday morning.

There is no admission charge to any event, but donations are accepted. Other committees of the state GOP will meet on Friday, but those are closed meetings.

Five statewide offices will be contested in November 2018, including Governor and Superintendent of Public Instruction. Hot Springs County will also see Representative Nathan Winters’s seat up for election.
