In honor of Veterans Day, the next meeting of the Hot Springs County Historical Society will feature a program on “Korea: The Forgotten War.”
The Korean War began in 1950 as a conflict between North Korea, backed by communist countries like China and Russia, and South Korea, which had the support of the United States as well as the United Nations.
The program will have a video documentary showing actual footage filmed from 1951 to 1953 during all out combat with Korea. They will also have a short program on Flags around Thermopolis.
The meeting will be on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Museum. As always, the event is free and open to the public.
