Lady Cats fall short at regionals

The Bobcat volleyball team attended the 3A East Regional Volleyball Tournament last Friday and Saturday in Newcastle.

In the first round, the girls lost to the Douglas Lady Bearcats in three, 14-25, 18-25 and 18-25, dropping them into the losers bracket.

They topped the Wheatland Lady Bulldogs in the next match, 25-23, 25-17 and 25-11 to move on to the next round.

Unfortunately, the Lady Cats were out of the running after meeting the Torrington Lady Trailblazers, losing in three, 25-13, 25-18 and 25-16, ruining their chances of attending the State Tournament.

Head coach Shannon Hill was not available for comment at press time.
