John Steinle

John A. Steinle, 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 22, 1930, to Fred and Mildred (Parkhurst) Steinle. He resided in Mills and Bill, Wyo., and attended school in Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1949 and Caper College in 1951.

John joined the Marine Corp, assigned to First Marine Air Wing and served in Korea. He was discharged in 1953. He then worked in various oil fields and Platte Pipeline for several years. He ranched in Bates Hole and Alcova area from 1951-1992.

He married Wanda “Lou” Schaper in 1965. The couple lived in the Casper area, Buffalo and Thermopolis. His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He acquired his private pilots license and loved being in the air.

He is survived by his wife of Thermopolis; sister, Regina (Steve) Brown of Thermopolis; niece, Kerri (Mark) Manig of Thermopolis; great niece, Jocelyn White; and great nephew, Chase White.
