Wyoming FCA hosting awareness event

Those looking for a way to get involved with their community can check out the Wyoming Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) ministry awareness event on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 4:45 in the Thermopolis Middle School Commons.

Ernie Mecca, FCA state director, said the event will let people know what the FCA is and what their mission is.

It is also a volunteer recruiting event, he said, noting there are multiple things we could be doing but are not as there is only a handful of staff across the state and little to no volunteers.

People who attend will get information on where they can be of service.

Mecca said he wants to show what the FCA does and what is possible, as we are only “scratching the surface.”

Mecca said there will be 14 of these FCA awareness events across the state, but he is starting at home.
