Students at each of the schools will have a Celtic treat next week as the duo Four Shillings Short does a residency at the Hot Springs County School District.
The husband and wife team have been performing together for more than two decades, traveling all over the U.S. and Ireland playing as the Troubadours of old, playing at music festivals, libraries, museums and at folk and historic societies.
They will be showing the students at Ralph Witters Elementary the ins and outs of Celtic music on Wednesday during a school assembly from 2-2:30 p.m.
Then on Thursday they will be at the high school during band class from 10:15-11:05, finishing things up with a middle school assembly on Friday from 10:30-11:10 a.m. before heading to the Pioneer Home for a special performance from 2-2:40 p.m.
