Your source for news in Hot Springs County
One of the rites of fall in Hot Springs County is the Harvest Moon Ball, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Hot Springs County fairgrounds.
Normally at the Ball, the FFA Alumni celebrate the AG Citizen of the Year and present the Century Ranch Awards, but this year they are changing things up a bit to honor veterans involved in agriculture in Hot Springs County.
They are also doing something a little different for dinner this year, too, a fajita and taco bar.
You’ll be able to create your own fajitas or tacos from all the possible ingredients at the bar, enjoy the cash bar and then dance the night away after the awards are presented.
Tickets will be sold by FFA members, alumni and will be available at the door.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit the local FFA chapters, providing scholarships, leadership camp registration, other leadership opportunities and livestock competitions as well as travel expenses to events.
They are currently looking for vets in agriculture to honor, so if you know of someone who served our country in the military and is now farming or ranching in Hot Springs County, please contact Cassie at 921-9257 or Britton at 864-9257.
