Last week the Hot Springs County Commissioners approved the transfer of a liquor license from Stones Throw Restaurant back to the Legion Town and Country Club, dba Thermopolis Golf Course. Since then, lots of folks in town have wondered what the plan is for the building.
According to Jason Ciz, chairman of the golf course board, the tentative plan at this time is to move the current pro shop into the restaurant area and continue to sell beer and liquor out of the bar area.
In addition, they are looking at moving the pro shop out of the restaurant during the winter months to give the community one more place to rent for Christmas parties and other gatherings, but they have no plans to lease the building for another restaurant.
The current pro shop will be used for storage and if another restaurant opportunity were to come along, the pro shop could be moved back to its original building.
