John Sollo making second appearance

The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce is excited to be hosting the Antique Stroll Show with John Sollo on Saturday, October 14 from 10 a.m. til 2 p.m. at the Hot Springs County Museum and Cultural Center.

John Sollo is an appraiser for the Antiques Road Show seen on PBS. Sollo’s area of expertise is furniture from the 1870’s to present, although his real love is “modern furniture”.

There will be a welcome reception on Friday, October 13 from 6-7 p.m. at the museum. Everyone is welcome come and meet Sollo and his wife, Nan, but do not bring items for appraisal to the reception.

On Saturday, October 14, Sollo will be evaluating items (must be pre-registered) from 10-2 p.m. The deadline to register is Monday, October 2 at noon. Please contact the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce 864-3192 to register.

The fee is $40 to voluntarily bring items. The “appraised value” is an estimated value and cannot be used for insurance purposes or for legal purposes as an actual appraisal.
