Homecoming week begins on Monday, and it looks as though its going to be a fun-filled time for everyone.
Appropriately enough, Monday will be “Pajama Day” with students coming to school wearing their favorite pajamas.
During the day, the guys will have a chance to strut their stuff with the male version of a beauty pageant, the “Mangeant” in the auditorium starting at 2:50.
Tuesday will see each of the classes separated out by color as they have “Class Color Day.”
The fun begins at 6:45 p.m. with the Buff Puff volleyball game in the gym, followed by the Powder Puff football game at 7:45 p.m.
“World Culture Day” will be on Wednesday with everyone dressing from a different culture.
The always popular Air Band competition and the announcement of Homecoming Royalty will be in the auditorium starting at 2:15 p.m.
Keep a lookout for pith helmets on Thursday as they have “Safari Day.”
A Spirit Bus will be heading to Worland at 5:15 p.m. for the JV and varsity volleyball games. A second bus will also go at 6:20. Students must sign up ahead of time in order to go on the Spirit Bus, and since it will be a class competition, too, any students who drive up on their own will not be counted for the competition.
The big day is Friday, honored by the wearing of purple and gold for “School Spirit Day.”
Things will kick off with a pep assembly at 8:20 a.m. featuring class games, performances by the cheerleaders and the announcement of fall sports teams.
At 9:15, students will begin assembling their floats for the parade, which starts at 10:45 a.m.
Plan on coming to the Homecoming game versus Moorcroft a little early so you can see the crowning of the King and Queen at 5:30 p.m. The game will begin at 6 p.m. with a scrimmage between third and fourth graders at half time.
Homecoming continues on Saturday morning with the cross country team hosting their home run at 9 a.m. at the golf course. Volleyball will be at home, too, playing at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Everything comes to a close as the students dance the night away at the Homecoming Dance from 9p.m. til midnight in the auditorium.
