The Hot Springs County Weed and Pest has funding available for Russian olive and saltcedar control projects. Interested landowners should contact HSCWP by Sept. 14 to be considered for cost share in this program.
County Weed and Pest Supervisor Lindsey Woodward said projects include maintenance of removal sites from the past or new removal sites. The cost share would be based on how much interest there is.
The program has slowed down in the past couple years, Woodward said, with larger sites taken care of and the focus shifting to smaller acreage projects.
