Thirteen teams braved rain and lightening Saturday night then hot, dusty conditions Sunday to compete in this year's Lions Club Ranch Rodeo.
High Mountain Ranch came out first overall scoring their seventh win in the history of the event. Team members include Brad and Dawn Peil, Miles Werner and Cahill Nettles, along with business person Shyla Buckner.
Second place went to Poston Ranch with team members John and Kirsty Stewart, Brandon Peterson and Willie Duncan, assisted by business person Colleen Hanson.
The Regulators claimed third with team members Jill Logan, Dominick Morgillo, JW Knight and Colter Knight, along with business person Shane Wilson.
The hard luck award went to Chris Hatch of the WF Cowboys team. Amber Armajo took home the award for top cow horse and Donny Love was named top cow hand.
The Thermopolis Lions Club uses the proceeds from the rodeo to assist community members with eye care needs.
