Melvin Love

Melvin Ray Love, 49, passed away on August 2, 2017, at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyo., after his 3rd battle with cancer.

Melvin was born on October 24, 1967, in Thermopolis. He attended Hot Springs County High School. He married Julie Bredenberg in Casper. They later divorced.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains. Melvin also loved spending time with his son Keatyn and his family. He loved watching Keatyn play basketball and he always said Keatyn was his greatest accomplishment.

Melvin is survived by his son, Keatyn Love of Casper; stepson, Nik Conrad of Pinedale, Wyo.; mother, Audrey Love of Thermopolis; sisters, Jackie (Dave) Shaffer of Casper, Lynn (Wes) Paschall of Upton, Wyo., and Becky Lawyer of Casper; brothers, Jay (Colleen) Blakesley of Thermopolis, and Emory (Debbie) Blakesley of Thermopolis; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Love of Thermopolis; brother, Lonnie Blakesley of Thermopolis; and brother-in-law, Elden Lawyer of Casper.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Aug. 11, 2017, at the Risen Son Baptist Church in Thermopolis with a reception to follow at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Melvin's name to Central Wyoming Hospice, Rocky Mountain Oncology or the Angel Network.
