Get a taste of local food

The Red Dirt Master Gardeners will host a Farm to Plate Gala at the Hot Springs County Senior Center on Sunday, Aug. 13 beginning at 5 p.m.

Master Gardeners Secretary Cindy Toth explained the event is a dinner, during which they will serve food that is either locally grown or from the Wyoming area. The menu includes pork and chicken with a rhubarb barbecue sauce, bread, salad, seasonal vegetables and dessert. Drinks available are wine, tea, coffee and water.

Tickets for the dinner are $15 for singles and $25 for couples. The event is a fundraiser for the Master Gardeners. Money is used for, among other things, purchasing items for the community garden.
