Tuesday, July 18
4:34 p.m. Vehicle fire on Highway 120 near the Sage Valley turn out.
8:48 p.m. Grass fire at T.J. dump.
Saturday, July 22
12:08 p.m. Fire along the wall of the canyon.
Sunday, July 23
3:40 a.m. Structure fire in the 300 block of Lane 12.
10:36 a.m. Grass fire at mile marker 120 on Highway 20 South.
Sheriff’s office
Tuesday, July 18
12:17 p.m. Some people were stuck on the river, and a deputy assisted in getting them out.
3:01 p.m. Subject reported a neighbor’s dog was killing chickens. The matter was settled between the parties.
4:23 p.m. Report of a vicious dog. A deputy was able to locate the animal and determined it was not vicious.
4:33 p.m. Deputy assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol with an accident at mile marker 2 on Highway 120 West in which a motorcycle rider struck a deer.
7:27 p.m. Deputy was on standby during a civil issue between a renter and his landlord.
Wednesday, July 19
10:07 a.m. Fight between a mother and son, with her wanting him out of the house. A deputy provided options to do so.
12:56 p.m. Report of kids playing in the road in the buffalo pasture. A deputy located the juveniles and asked them to stop, and they said they would.
3:28 p.m. A subject’s vehicle lost a tire on the highway. Though a wrecker was already called for, the deputy remained on the scene until it arrived.
3:56 p.m. Colton Robertson was arrested for alleged probation violation.
10:25 p.m. Female subject reported a dog acting up, and requested deputy drive through the alley to see if anything was disturbing the dog.
Thursday, July 20
8:29 a.m. Female subject reported hearing noises by her apartment, and the next morning found a broken flowerpot.
2:25 p.m. Report of vehicles racing into town on Highway 120. Suspect vehicles could not be located.
5:07 p.m. Subjects camping at the old airport. The subjects were told they could by someone who could not authorize the stay, but the subjects were allowed to stay one night.
9:10 p.m. Lara Halbert was arrested for alleged probation violation.
9:14 p.m. Report of a vehicle vs. deer accident two miles from Highway 120 on Missouri Flat.
9:35 p.m. Report of someone camping on private property. A deputy found that the property owner said it was OK.
Friday, July 21
3:06 p.m. A subject rented out a property, and wanted a deputy to do a walkthrough to make sure nothing was amiss.
7:07 p.m. Report of dogs in a truck with no windows down. The vehicle could not be located.
10:12 p.m. A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for diving under suspension. The driver agreed to park the vehicle and walk.
Saturday, July 22
2:32 p.m. Report of a black vehicle all over the road. The suspect vehicle could not be located.
Sunday, July 23
2:09 p.m. Report of cattle on the road. The animals were put back in their pasture prior to the deputy’s arrival.
Monday, July 24
7:53 p.m. Report of a black cow on the road. The animal could not be located.

Tuesday, July 18
10:18 a.m. Dispute regarding money, between a subject and a person hired to clean a house.
12:08 p.m. Report of property being taken out of an empty residence.
3:53 p.m. Complainant reported a vehicle was driving carelessly. The suspect vehicle could not be located.
6:18 p.m. Report of a vehicle backing into another. There was minor damage.
9:10 p.m. Complainant reported leaving a vehicle parked in town but he received a call that the vehicle was moved. An officer confirmed the vehicle was where it had been parked.
Wednesday, July 19
6:24 a.m. Report of someone using the Candy Jack trailer court as a bypass to get around the 12th Street construction.
4:34 a.m. Subject reported a stolen push lawnmower. The lawnmower was found in the possession of a subject who admitted to stealing it.
10:38 a.m. Report of someone gaining access to a home. Nothing in the home was missing.
10 p.m. James Arends was arrested for alleged public intoxication.
Thursday, July 20
8:59 a.m. Subject reported receiving harassing text messages. The claim was unsubstantiated.
9:25 a.m. Subject expressed concern about a tree overhanging his property. The matter is between him and the adjacent property owner.
11:15 a.m. Complainant wanted it on record that she received an attempted scam over the phone.
1:41 p.m. Subject reported credit card fraud that originated elsewhere. The matter was resolved by a police department in Virginia.
4:18 p.m. Complainant reported finding what appeared to be narcotics, but upon further investigation it was determined not to be.
10:33 p.m. Subject reported an open interior door at a business. The key holder was notified.
Friday, July 21
9:56 a.m. Complainant reported an air conditioning unit in a trailer park had been moved from one residence to another. The matter was resolved prior to officer’s arrival.
12:04 p.m. Report of a nuisance yard. The matter is under investigation.
4:20 p.m. Dispute between tenants in a trailer park. The matter was deemed civil in nature.
6:42 p.m. REDDI report, though contact was made with the driver and the call was deemed unfounded.
Saturday, July 22
2:42 a.m. Subject reported what he thought was someone trying to get into the house.
12:16 p.m. Welfare check on a subject who was found OK.
5:14 p.m. A vehicle attempting to take the bypass on 14th Street was unable to make the turn. The driver was advised he couldn’t take the route and cited for not obeying the signs. Traffic control was provided while the driver turned the vehicle around.
10:35 p.m. A subject was stopped for a traffic violation. Though there was suspicion the subject was intoxicated, this was not the case.
Sunday, July 23
10:10 a.m. Civil standby was provided while eviction papers were served.
10:43 a.m. A welfare check was requested, though family members were able to contact the subject in question before the officers did.
8:53 p.m. Report of a transient supposedly asking people at a restaurant if she could purchase some marijuana. According to the transient, she simply saw people smoking marijuana and did not ask to buy some.
Monday, July 24
9:01 a.m. Assistance provided to Department of Family Services for urine analysis.
12:10 p.m. Report of a dog in distress in a vehicle. The animal was found outside the vehicle, and the owner stated he was gone only a short time. The dog did not appear to be in distress.
3:38 p.m. Complainant reported an IRS-based scam in which the person is directed to buy a pre-paid credit card. Businesses selling the cards were spoken to about asking customers what the cards are for and possibly stopping them if need be.

Jaxxon Daniel Gordon was born Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Angelyna and Daniel Gordon of Wyoming.
He weighed 6 pounds and was 20 inches long.
Grandparents are Carol Pickett, Carl Strumfa and Edward Gordon, all of Wyoming and Becky Tappe of Oregon.
Kyllian Sky Sharp was born Monday, July 17, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Stormy Sharp of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Justy Honomichl of Cody, Wyo.
She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
Grandparents are Jan and Rick Sharp of Thermopolis.
Circuit court
Desirea Writingbird was found guilty of pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance. Fees and fines are $205.
Joseph Watkins was found guilt of reckless endangering, domestic battery and property destruction under $1,000, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 179 days suspension and six months supervised probation. Fees and fines are $1,570 an restitution is $3,037.66.
Jody White was bound over to District Court on three counts of causing bodily injury to a peace officer.
Whitley Eberle was found guilty of third-offense driving under the influence, open container and use of electronic device to read, write or send text while driving, and was sentenced to a year in jail with 257 days suspension and two years supervised probation. Fees and fines are $865.
Boone Myers was bound over to District Court on a charge of third-offense possession of a controlled substance.
Mikki Martinez was found guilty of breach of peace. Fees and fines are $205.
