Get your team signed up for pig wrestling

Those looking to test their skills in rounding up swine can register for the pig wrestling completion Aug. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

There are four divisions for the completion — Youth (ages 8 and under), Junior (ages 9-15), Women and Men (16 and older for each). Teams can be up to four people, with spots available on a “first come, first serve” basis for 10 teams in each division. There is a $65 fee.

The main rules are simple. The pig must go butt-first into the bucket, and the team with the fastest time wins. Additional rules and entry forms can be picked up at the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce and Canyon Concrete. Forms must be mailed in or brought to Canyon Concrete by 5 p.m. on July 28.
