Tuesday, June 6
3:13 p.m. Call regarding goats on the highway near mile marker 139 on Highway 20 North. The goats were put back in their pasture.
Wednesday, June 7
11 a.m. Complainant received an e-mail scam, in which a person claims to be from the IRS.
Thursday, June 8
11:08 a.m. Tanya Tsukas was arrested on an alleged violation of probation from Platte County.
3:07 p.m. Report of a one-vehicle accident on Jones Road. The driver stated he lost control of the vehicle on loose sand going around a turn.
4:10 p.m. Livestock issue reported at Owl Creek. Complainant reported a missing cow that later appeared on a neighbor’s property. It appears the change in location was accidental.
Friday, June 9
7:58 a.m. A citizen assist was requested at Red Lane.
9:16 a.m. Suspicious activity reported at a residence south of town. The matter is under investigation.
10:43 a.m. Colton Robertson was arrested for an alleged probation violation.
Saturday, June 10
8:32 a.m. Report of dogs chasing sheep on Highway 20 North. The reporting party was able to detain the dogs in a stock trailer, and reported they had injured a couple sheep. The deputy inspected the herd and found two sheep were hurt. There was no owner of the dogs found, and no record that the two — a black and white male mixed breed and a white and merle female mixed breed — were picked up.
7:20 p.m. Caller reported a saddled horse with no rider along the highway. The horse could not be located.
9:35 p.m. Report of a hit and run accident near the golf course. It appeared the vehicle struck a fence and a parked vehicle. The suspect vehicle could not be located, though the driver reported the accident the next day. Melanie Valentine was cited for careless driving and failure to advise of an unattended accident with another vehicle.
Sunday, June 11
7:41 p.m. Caller reported someone in the state park possibly taking a shot at a dog. No further information was available.
Monday, June 12
11:56 a.m. Request for a civil standby at a residence for a child custody exchange.
7:58 p.m. Report of 10 head of cattle on the road. The animals could not be located.

Tuesday, June 6
12:35 p.m. A welfare check was performed on a subject, who was found to be OK.
1:24 p.m. A civil standby was provided for two subjects who were separating.
1:31 p.m. Caller reported receiving threats via text message.
6:38 p.m. Report of a vehicle being driven recklessly and speeding. The suspect vehicle could not be located.
7:17 p.m. Complainant called regarding noise made by a neighbor’s swamp cooler. The responding officer did not find it was overly loud.
Wednesday, June 7
5:28 a.m. Two subjects were arguing outside a business. The responding officer spoke to those involved, and cautioned them to stop or they would be arrested for breach of peace.
6:10 a.m. Ann Quinlan was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.
11:35 a.m. Reported theft of a couple street signs in East Thermopolis.
11:45 a.m. Caller stated he believed a dog had been shot by a BB gun.
2:18 p.m. Officer requested in regard to a custody dispute. There was no court document assigning custody.
3:01 p.m Report of a dog being aggressive. The dog’s owner took possession of the dog before the officer arrived.
6:03 p.m. Dispute between two subjects in the process of splitting up. Joshua Wilson was arrested for alleged breach of peace.
8:27 p.m. REDDI report of a possible intoxicated driver. The suspect vehicle could not be located.
Thursday, June 8
10:09 a.m. Caller believed the tires on his vehicle had been slashed.
Friday, June 9
3:28 a.m. Brent Bitton, who was found sleeping in an alleyway, was arrested for alleged public intoxication
9:28 a.m. Report of a vehicle being driven erratically in the canyon. The suspect vehicle could no be located.
10:52 a.m. Welfare check was performed on a couple kids, and everything was reported to be fine.
1:31 p.m. Report of individuals engaged in questionable behavior at a business.
2:03 p.m. Female subject reported her purse was stolen. The purse was later found in her yard and returned to her.
5:24 p.m. Subject reported what were believed to be threats on social media. The officer did not see any direct threats, but some implied ones. The subject sending the messages was advised to knock it off.
10:01 p.m. Scott Jackson was arrested for alleged driving under the influence.
Saturday, June 10
12:03 p.m. Concerned caller reported an adult and children were playing where the river overflowed its banks.
1:08 p.m. Female subject reported what she thought was vandalism.
2:37 p.m. Report of a vehicle with a horse trailer, with only three wheels on the trailer. Arrangements were made for the trailer to be parked at the fairgrounds until repairs can be made.
7:20 p.m. Officer responded to a dispute between two neighbors.
Sunday, June 11
1:39 p.m. Report of a collision at the car wash.
6:07 p.m. Deanna Morgan, 29, was arrested for alleged trespassing.
Monday, June 12
12:27 p.m. A subject fell and needed help getting up. Assistance was provided.
1:36 p.m. Report of a theft which happened in another community. The subject was advised to contact the authorities in the proper jurisdiction.
6:51 p.m. Report of an argument between a grandmother and granddaughter. The matter was resolved and the parties went their separate ways.
Circuit court
Tyron Potts was found guilty of second-offenses driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, third-offense driving under the influence-incapable of driving safely and driving under suspension, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail Fees and fines are $1,990. Restitution is $50.
Colton Robertson was found guilty of driving under suspension, second-offense driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 150 days suspension and one year supervised probation. Fees and fines are $1,185.
Jerrica Merritt was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance. Fees and fines are $200.
Vicki Rowan was found guily of driving under suspension and no insurance, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 days suspension and six months probation. Fees and fines are $860.
Sara Bednarcik was found guilty of failure to report colliding with unattended vehicle or property and reckless driving. Fees and fines are $500.
Michael Calhoun was found guilty of minor in possession. Fees and fines are $490.
